The start-up technical facility
Before the future AIDA centre is built in Rufisque, the association plans to begin its first activities through a technical training facility. This would make it possible to start actual classes, practical workshops and learner support in a professional environment, without waiting for the full site to be completed.
This is a transitional start-up phase. The exact location is still to be determined, but this facility would serve as an operational base to begin training, bring partners on board and prepare for the future opening of the centre.
What is planned
The project aims for around fourteen workstations: twelve for learners, one for the trainer and one for administration. Around these, the association plans network racks, managed switches and routers, virtualisation servers, security equipment for cybersecurity workshops, along with the UPS units and cabling required.
These figures are indicative. They may be adjusted depending on the premises secured, the donations received and technical constraints.
First courses envisaged
Digital skills and office software, IT maintenance, networks, systems, cybersecurity, cloud, and support towards digital autonomy.
Why this step matters
It would allow activities to begin without waiting for the site to be fully built, train the first beneficiaries in a real setting, structure the teaching and technical team, and build up a stock of equipment that would then be reused in the future centre.
Equipment may be new, refurbished or second-hand in good condition. Before accepting anything, AIDA will check that it works, and assess its compatibility, safety and educational value.
